Teaching the Acoustic Guitar
Classroom Setting- Smaller room with good acoustics and no more then three chairs for close interaction between student and teacher.
Partnering: This would be guided partnering because they would watch the teacher play a chord or note and then build those chords off of each others playing to advance their skills and knowledge. As the students would make a mistake the teacher or other student could help them place their fingers on the right note or chord.
Technology: The technology that would be used would be videos to show correct positioning of fingers and picking, as well as music players (ipod) to listen and try to learn the songs they like or find interesting.
Guided Questions: Why are certain notes played together in many cases? Why are there scales made up to guide the playing? Who are the greatest guitar players and why?
